A Mother’s Day Gift Guide (by price point)

Mother’s Day is right around the corner! It can be hard to find the right gift for Mom, especially one that fit’s in the Mother’s Day budget. So I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite items from small businesses, organized by price!

Bonus: some are last minute gift ideas, for those of you waiting until the day of 🙃

Sometimes all Mom wants is a nice, heartfelt note 💛

Send her a card with some flowers on it or a joke! Beautiful or funny — up to you on which Mom would appreciate more.

Here are a few options from some small woman (and mom!) owned businesses (note that they have more on their websites!) —

Reusable Bowl cover

You can never go wrong with a reusable bowl cover. Everyone can find a use for these! Use them to cover leftovers or for baking — just throw them in the wash when you’re done. They’re an awesome alternative to plastic wrap and they come in cute fabrics!

These bowl covers are handmade in Washington by a one-woman small business. I own several of these and have gifted them over and over again (I recommend getting the medium size for gifting)! Wild Clementine Co also offers casserole dish covers and other kitchen and home items.

Candle Making Class

If you’re in the Seattle area, Lulumiere is a candle shop that offers classes! Gift Mom an experience + allow her to create a scent that she’ll genuinely enjoy (we all know how candles can be)!

Not in the area? Do a quick Google search — you’ll likely be able to find something near you 🕯

Family Feud (custom!) Trivia game

For 6-16 players, gift Mom a trivia game that brings all her favorite people together! All you have to do is fill out a survey and Matt of Here’s Your Host will put together a custom trivia game 🤯

Plus, the game is hosted over Zoom so this is an especially awesome gift if your family and friends aren’t all in the same place!

MEA Turquoise Pendant

If Mom is a fan of minimalist jewelry, you can’t go wrong with a simple necklace.

Each MEA pendant is one of a kind, handmade, and made with intention 💛 Chains are available in 16, 18, 20, and 24 inch lengths — pick the size that would be most comfortable for Mom! Not sure? Most people are comfortable in an 18 inch chain.

Note that a handful of new pieces will be available Thursday, May 4th at 5pm pst — available just in time for Mother’s Day shopping!

Flower Subscription

If you’re in the Everett area, consider gifting Mom a Jarn Co. Flowers CSA subscription! Mom will get a weekly bouquet over the 6-week growing season. Pick ups are available in Everett and Lake Stevens, but home delivery is also available as far north as Stanwood, as far south as downtown Seattle, and as far east as Sultan!

Not in the area? Check to see if there’s any micro flower farms around you that offer a similar program! 🌷

MEA Threader Earrings

I have to also throw in the MEA Threader Earrings because these are built for Moms!

The minimalist, simple design of the threader earrings make them versatile for almost any fashion style. They are also the lightest and most comfortable earrings I make, which will gain you major points with Mom. Each earring weights a gram or less. I promise you — your Mom does not want heavy earrings!

The rest points on the ear lobe for these earrings also make them incredibly comfortable for all day wear. I constantly forget they’re in my ears! All around, threader earrings are a gorgeous — and safe — gift option for almost anyone in your life.

Note that a handful of new pieces will be available Thursday, May 4th at 5pm pst — available just in time for Mother’s Day shopping!
